TITAN’s SmartArctic platform was developed for customers who want remote monitoring of their cold storage systems.
Standard on ArcticStore units, this easy-to-use platform can be accessed via smartphone or computer and provides total control of any ArcticStore containers, including the ArcticBlast, across your cold storage network.
With SmartArctic, you can make temperature set point changes, initiate the defrost function, check performance and status, view log files and much more. All of this can be handled from anywhere in the world – giving you easy, secure control of your cold storage system from anywhere, 24/7.
GETTING THE BEST OUT OF YOUR ARCTICBLAST
As with all cold store systems, good planning improves performance. These three top tips will help you maximise the capabilities of your ArcticBlast reefer containers when you hire from us.
1. Understand packing density
Whether you choose a 10ft, 20ft or 40ft container, the packing density of the products inside will determine the actual performance of your ArcticBlast portable cold store. As airflow plays a critical role in chilling, it’s important to allow air to move over the greatest possible surface area. Note: our 10ft unit is actually a standard 10ft ArcticStore container. Because of its compact size, it packs a similar punch relative to its dimensions as an ArcticBlast 20ft or 40ft model.
2. Know your produce
Products freeze at different rates – for example, fatty beef freezes much more quickly than lean meat (as much as 33% quicker). Know your thermal loss values before you begin to help maximise efficiencies and performance.
3. Do your maths
Using pallets is the best way to get the most out of your available space – you can get 7 EU pallets into a 20ft container and 14 into a 40ft unit. Work out the best configuration for your requirements.
